ARGYLE, Texas — There are three teams in the TAPPS 6A ranks who have a bonafide chance to win a state championship. Two of them will meet in the quarterfinals on Friday night, when Prestonwood Christian visits Argyle Liberty Christian, in a game that will be televised on WFAA+, on Friday Night Football.
Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten is the head coach at Liberty Christian, and has led the Warriors to state championships in each of the last two seasons — 2023 in TAPPS 5A, and 2024 in TAPPS 6A, defeating the five-time defending champion Parish Episcopal Panthers.
Parish Episcopal looks likely to await the winner of this game, two weeks from now in the title game in Waco.
You can watch the game live on our streaming platform WFAA+, which is available on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon F
