(KBTX) - Quarterback Haynes King had every reason to believe things wouldn’t go his way at the college level.
King earned the starting job at Texas A&M in 2021 and 2022, but only managed to play eight games between the two seasons due to injury. In the 2022 season, where King played six games, he completed 55.6% of his passes and threw six interceptions to his seven touchdowns.
Yet, the son of a Texas high school football coach never lost faith.
“I always thought it was possible,” he said. “You know, I always believed in myself and in what I do and the way that I do it.”
