Penn State’s top-ranked wrestlers will get a taste of the postseason during the early part of the season on Sunday when it heads to West Point, New York, for the Army Black Knight Invite.

The competition won’t be that of the postseason but the concept of wrestling three or four times in one day is appealing.

“We’re excited to compete again and just find out where we were last week and develop and learn and grow as we go along and get better as the season progresses,” Penn State coach Cael Sanderson said.

Sanderson said the Nittany Lions are allotted 20 spots in the event which includes Army, Gardner-Webb, Columbia, Long Island, Brown, Buffalo and Chattanooga.

Action begins at 10 a.m. and runs throughout the day. It can be followed on the Penn State Sports Network and FloWrestling.
