HOWARD, Wis. (WBAY) - One day away from the gun-deer hunt, and hunters were carrying on a season tradition: last-minute shopping.

Excited hunters started lining up outside Fleet Farm in Howard around 4:30 Friday morning for the store’s annual Orange Friday sale.

The store promised giveaways for those who waited to stock up on hunting supplies, including a blaze orange hat for the first 500 people in the door.

“Every Orange Friday we always save a few things that we need to get last-minute, so we come down here. It’s kind of a tradition I started doing when my son got old enough to come down, and so we come down, we get our hat, we get our last-minute things, and we go get breakfast after,” hunter Tom Wilson said.

“It’s just being out there in God’s country,” hunter Byron Faulkner said.
