Greenply Industries expects its capital expenditure to be around ₹800 crore in the next two to three years, as the company is setting up a greenfield plant for plywood and plans to build a new plant for MDF.
The company is looking to reclaim its leadership position in the country’s plywood market in the next three years, with the commissioning of the greenfield plant in Odisha in the fourth quarter of the next fiscal. The plant will expand the manufacturing capacity of the plywood segment by around 25 per cent.
“In the next two-three years, we have a ₹800-crore capex, even if we don’t venture into new product categories. If we venture into new product categories, then we would have to increase the capital spending. But, there is no plan as of now,” Manoj Tulsian, Joint Managing Director
