ST. LOUIS — A shooting inside St. Louis Lambert International Airport's Terminal 1 left one person dead early Friday morning.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting happened about 1 a.m. and involved Lambert Airport Police. The suspect was shot and later died.
No other injuries have been reported.
Inside the airport, 5 On Your Side saw a crime scene near the American Airlines ticketing counter.
Lambert posted on X that the Terminal 1 MetroLink station is currently closed. Passengers are being rerouted to Terminal 2, where shuttles are available from the upper level at Door 2. Terminal 1 passenger pickup has been moved to Door 6 on the upper level.
Airlines operating out of Terminal 1 include Air Canada, Alaska, American, Cape Air, Delta, Frontier, Sun Count
