POUGHKEEPSIE – Republican State Senator Rob Rolison (R, Poughkeepsie), a member of the Senate’s Committee on Aging, brought the Democratic chair of the committee to meet with seniors from Orange, Dutchess, and Putnam, and hear the concerns of the seniors firsthand. Senator Cordell Cleare represents portions of Harlem and the Upper West Side of New York City, but told seniors in Poughkeepsie, “As chair of Aging, I represent the entire State of New York.”

Rolison brought together several organizations that offer services to seniors, including the State Office for the Aging, Dutchess Outreach, Section 8 Housing, and others, for a roundtable where Senators Rolison and Cleare were briefed on the issues affecting the growing senior population and the services they require.
