In what might come as a major blow to Australia’s dreams of retaining the Ashes at home, star pacer Josh Hazlewood is all set to miss the second Test of the series in Brisbane due to his hamstring injury, according to a report in CODE Sports. He was ruled out of the first Test a few days ago.

While the absence of Hazlewood and skipper Pat Cummins didn’t reflect a lot on Australia’s bowling performance in the first Test in Perth, with Mitchell Starc picking seven wickets alone, their absence in Gabba would increase the latter’s load.

Hazlewood is an injury-prone pacer and more often than not, his recovery takes quite a long.
