The fifth-seeded University of Arkansas soccer team had the better of the play in the first half Thursday; No. 4 seed Washington had it in the second. With neither team earning the victory in regulation, extra time was required.

The Razorbacks and Huskies were both in need of one moment of brilliance. And for the third time in the NCAA Tournament and 11th time this season, Alex Buck provided that for Washington in its 1-0 victory.

Arkansas had done well to prevent Washington from breaking out on counterattacks throughout the match. All it took was one, with Huskies midfielder Kalea Eichenberger winning possession to end a Razorback attack and finding Buck on the run.
