FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The U.S. Coast Guard has made its biggest cocaine bust done by one crew after offloading hundreds of millions of dollars worth of narcotics off of Florida's coast.
The Coast Guard's Cutter Stone crew offloaded around 49,010 pounds of illicit narcotics, worth more than $362 million, on Wednesday at Port Everglades. It marks the largest amount of cocaine seized by a single cutter in one patrol.
The drugs were taken from 15 interdictions in international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
