The body of a missing man was found in the Savannah River on Thursday morning.
At about 8:35 a.m., Savannah Police Department (SPD) officers responded to a report of a body in the river. Savannah Fire and Chatham County Marine Patrol assisted SPD in retrieving the remains and bringing them to the eastern dock of Hutchinson Island.
The man was identified as 41-year-old Tremaine Moore, who was recently reported missing to the police.
A preliminary investigation did not find any signs of obvious foul play. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
