Everything you need to know about planned strike action by Metrolink drivers across Greater Manchester
A union announced on Friday that strike action will be taken by hundreds of Metrolink drivers across Greater Manchester. The union, United, said the planned industrial action would bring with it Christmas travel disruption, affecting routes to and from the city's Christmas markets.
In a statement, Unite said 320 tram drivers working for KeolisAmey Metrolink Limited have voted to strike, with walk-outs due to be held next month. An initial two-day period of strike action over a weekend has been pencilled in for early December.
Those planned to take action are all drivers and members of Unite based at the Warwick Road South and Queens Road depots in the city. They are said
