A 'wannabe gangster' fled the UK and 'spent three years swanning around Europe' following a fatal crash which killed his friend. Euan Corbett has now been jailed for 15 years for causing the death of Shane Finn, 21, after overturning an Audi A3 in a high-speed crash in the North Yorkshire moors, ChronicleLive reports.
Mr Finn, who was a passenger in the car, died from his injuries two days after the incident, which happened in May 2020. Corbett, xx, later fled the country and failed to turn up to court and wasn't arrested until he returned to the UK in July 2025.
A judge described him as "swanning around Europe - taunting the police and taunting the family" at the time. During sentencing on Thursday, Corbett was described by a judge as a "third rate pound shop wannabe-gan
