Experts have issued a warning about the household appliances that consume the most electricity, potentially adding nearly £400 to your annual utility bills. Max Schwerdtfeger, deputy editor of home energy at The Eco Experts, has revealed the top three common appliances that are the biggest power guzzlers in your home.

He identifies tumble dryers as the number one culprit, consuming the most electricity (4.5 kW per cycle), costing UK households an estimated £246.64 each year.
