The United States has reportedly threatened to halt intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine unless it agrees to the framework of a peace deal brokered by Washington, sources told Reuters on Friday.
According to sources, Kyiv is facing more pressure from Washington than in any previous peace talks, with the US demanding that Ukraine sign the proposed deal framework by next Thursday. The sources noted that the US is eager to bring an end to the war but is seeking significant concessions from Ukraine in the process.
“They want to stop the war and want Ukraine to pay the price," one source said.
