LEE COUNTY, Ala. ( WSFA ) - Everyone who knew Jennifer Cooper talks about the impact she made on their lives and the community.

She owned Gigi’s Cupcakes in both Auburn and Columbus. She and her husband, Patrick, opened one of the stores more than a decade ago.

Cooper was killed on Tuesday in a crash involving a school bus on East University Drive in Auburn.

Those who knew her best say Jennifer was a great business owner and an even better person.

An article written in the Opelika Observer just two months ago details how Jennifer donated cakes to children in foster care. Justin Smith’s children attend school with Jennifer’s son and daughter and they also attend the same church. He says Jennifer made a positive impact on every person she met.
