Montreal police will canvass residents of a neighbourhood in St-Léonard after a home was targeted by gunfire on Friday.
Police were called to the residence on Salvaye St. near de Villieu St. at 6:45 a.m. after a 911 call reporting bullet impacts on the home.
Officers confirmed the home had been hit by gunfire and spent shell casings were found at the scene.
There were no injuries reported. A canine unit has been deployed to search for clues and police will examine local surveillance cameras and question residents to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
