Kevin Spacey announced that he’s homeless in a new interview this week.
Speaking to The Telegraph in a piece published on Nov. 19, the two-time Oscar-winning actor claims his legal costs stemming from multiple sexual assault trials have sent him into economic hardship.
“I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs ,” Spacey told the outlet. “I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain… The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”
Spacey became a prominent figure in the public discourse around the #MeToo movement after actor Anthony Rapp accused him in 2017 of a sexual advance in 1986, when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 27.
