Monty Don has been inundated with congratulations after revealing some "good news" to his supporters.

The Gardeners' World presenter turned to social media to deliver a career announcement to his audience.

In the clip, Monty appeared delighted as he revealed: "Hello, I've got some good news, because next spring, this book will be published.

"It's taken two years to write. It's the culmination of visiting dozens of gardens from the north of Scotland to the tip of Cornwall and celebrating the very best of British gardens with some of the most wonderful in the world.
