Homes had to be evacuated and a large cordon put in place following an explosive alert at a Midland cul-de-sac.
The incident unfolded at a property in Churchfields Close in the Sidemoor area of Bromsgrove on Friday (November 21) afternoon.
Residents were asked to leave their homes after the discovery of a ‘suspected unexploded ordnance’.
Police said the explosives device at the cul-de-sac address was believed to be ‘military memorabilia’.
A large exclusion zone was put in place by officers, while bomb disposal experts attended the scene.
