Liam Gallagher has spoken out after it was confirmed Gary 'Mani' Mounfield has passed away at the age of 63.

The brother of The Stone Roses legend, Greg, issued a statement on Thursday, November 20, confirming the star had sadly passed away.

He wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce the sad passing of my brother. RIP RKID."

The bassist's death tragically comes just two years after his wife, Imelda Mounfield, died. The wife of the late musician had previously been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in November 2020.

Both Greg and Imelda shared two twin sons together who were born in 2013.
