During the Nov. 19 76th National Book Awards Ceremony , hosted by Somebody Somewhere star Jeff Hiller and featuring musical guest Corinne Bailey Rae, the winners in the categories of Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Translated Literature and Young People’s Literature were announced.

Two lifetime achievement awards were also presented at the ceremony, including one for Lincoln in the Bardo author George Saunders, who was presented with the National Book Foundation's Medal
