Miss Universe has crowned its latest winner.
Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch — whose messy confrontation with a pageant official went viral weeks before the final competition — is the new Miss Universe.
She succeeds Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig, who was on hand to pass along her crown to the 2025 winner at the ceremony near Bangkok, Thailand.
Miss Thailand Praveenar Singh was first runner-up to Bosch, while Miss Venezuela Stephany Abasali came in third, followed by Miss Philippines Ma Ahtisa Manalo in fourth, and Miss Cote d’Ivoire Olivia Yace in fifth place.
Bosch’s crowning comes after the Miss Universe Organization found itself mired in controversy leading up to Friday’s pageant.
