The Huntsville City Council approved two road projects totaling more than $36 million at its meeting Thursday.
Included among the two is the Interstate 565 Resolute Way interchange project. The other is the widening of Old Big Cove Road in the eastern part of the city, which includes sidewalks, bike paths and streetlights.
“Resolute Way is one of our top roadway priorities and we are excited to see this project moving forward,” Mayor Tommy Battle said. “With the expanding missions at Redstone Arsenal, including U.S. Space Command and the FBI, it’s essential that the city rises to the occasion in support to help keep our nation safe.
