SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Part of Plaster Stadium on the Missouri State University campus became quite the flooded mess on Friday morning.
An eight-inch sprinkler line detached. It sent rushing water through the north end of the facility, including the racquetball courts. More than a foot of water accumulated.
Crews are working to clean up the mess.
A reporter from the Missouri State University Standard newspaper captured video of flooding.
The following is a statement from Missouri State University:
“Last night, an 8-inch fire sprinkler distribution line in Robert W. Plaster Stadium became detached, causing flooding in the north end of the facility, including the racquetball courts. About 1 foot of water accumulated in the affected area.
