The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has intensified its protest over the alleged multi-crore compensation scam related to the Lada-Sarli road under the Arunachal Frontier Highway, reaching Itanagar, with the organisation warning that the situation could escalate if the state government fails to respond.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Ramesh Taku, President of ANYA East Kameng District Unit, said the sit-in demonstration will continue at the Tennis Court in Itanagar until 23 November 2025, after which the agitation may take a more aggressive turn.
Taku criticised the government’s silence and alleged that the recently formed fact-finding committee was merely a tactic to delay action and mislead the public.
