A little wind and a few light showers didn’t keep the community from enjoying the fifth annual Rodney Night Market, hosted and sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Rodney, the Municipality of West Elgin and Elgin County.
The municipality ensured roads were closed safely and had the decorative snowflakes light up to make the street look festive. The Rodney Market provided grocery carts so that West Elgin Comets volunteers could gather donated goods for the Caring Cupboard.
Born out of the pandemic, when indoor events weren’t an option, the Rodney Night Market continues to be an opportunity to support local and area businesses, find unique gifts and baked goods while also reconnecting with friends for a good catch-up over a hot chocolate, a cinnamon bun, a hotdog — or even ice cream.
