A Wallaceburg man is accused of having child sex abuse and exploitation material, Chatham-Kent police say.
The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children notified the unit in September that a local man was sharing child sexual abuse and exploitation material via social media and a file-hosting service , police said.
On Nov. 6, unit officers with a warrant searched a Wallaceburg residence and seized electronic devices, police said.
“Through analysis of devices seized, police allege the man was communicating with multiple persons under . . . 16 and that he was found to be in possession of (child sexual abuse and exploitation material),” police said in a release Friday.
A Chatham-Kent man, 25, faces charges including possessing and accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation
