WINSTED, Minn. — Investigators working the case of missing news anchor Jodi Huisentruit returned to Winsted, Minnesota, on Thursday to follow up on a tip.
Acting Mason City, Iowa Police Chief Mike McKelvey told FindJodi.com that his detectives were back in the central Minnesota community for a second time, looking for evidence and human remains. A specially-trained dog was deployed to sniff the scene where a house had recently been torn down, and heavy machinery then excavated in areas where the dog showed interest.
"Nothing at all was found," McKelvey said in an email. "This tip did not pan out, but we felt it was important to examine the site since the house was recently removed. Again, nothing was found."
