LANSING, Mich. — Some Five Below stores in Michigan have allegedly been charging customers more than the labeled price of items in the store, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) said.
MDARD has issued 30 non-compliance findings at Five Below stores in Michigan since June 5, 2025. Now, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is issuing a notice of intended action to Five Below, urging them to address these repeated allegations of overcharges.
The AG's office asserts that nearly 20 stores in Michigan violated the Michigan Shopping Reform and Modernization Act and the Michigan Consumer Protection Act on 30 separate occasions.
