MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Margot G. Lewis, 33 of North Liberty, Iowa, has been sentenced for killing Minneapolis DJ Liara Tsai.

A jury found Lewis guilty of second-degree murder in Tsai’s June 2024 death. Tsai's body was found in the back of a car driven by Lewis after a traffic crash near Eyota on I-90. Investigators later found a bloody crime scene at the victim's apartment in Minneapolis.

Lewis has been ordered to spend up to 40 years in prison, with credit for 517 days already served, and must pay $2,513.62 in restitution.
