ATHENS, W.Va. — JarHead Kitchens of Monroe County won the first-place prize at the Pitch Southern WV Business Idea Competition, securing a total awards package of $10,000 in cash prizes and technical assistance.

The competition, hosted by WV Hive at Concord University on Thursday awarded over $20,000 in cash and prizes to finalists.

Top Winners

First Place: Natasha Zoe of JarHead Kitchens (Monroe County), who impressed judges with her concept and confident presentation.

Second Place: Alexander Durand of Mountain Table (Greenbrier County).

Honorable Mention (three prizes): Brian Dennis (Fayette County), Elizabeth Love of NRG Video (Fayette County), and Isaiah Beckett of 10 House Music (Logan County).

Alexander Durand also won the Audience Favorite award, picking up an additional $250.
