The Brantford Salvation Army has kicked off its Christmas program to help hundreds of struggling city residents through the holidays.
More than 650 families registered for the Army’s Community Christmas program in 2024.
Capt. Joshua Cain said it has been another tough year for many.
“We see those from all walks of life – from single seniors and newcomers to families with five kids. Even middle-class families who thought they had it together but are having a hard time.”
Registration is underway for this year’s Christmas program, which includes a grocery gift card and gifts and stocking stuffers for children, with one more sign-up session on Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army location at 33 Diana Ave.
