An Ontario County man has died after being caught between a snowplow and a fence post while attempting to place the snowplow onto a truck, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office announced.
OCSO said that on Thursday, Michael Seager, 60, was attempting to place a snowplow on a pickup truck when the vehicle operator's foot slipped off the brake, causing the truck to roll and trap Seager between the snowplow and the fence.
Deputies arrived at the scene on White Road in the Town of Richmond and used a tractor to free Seager with the assistance of the Richmond Fire Department and Richmond Ambulance.
Life-saving measures were attempted while transporting Seager to FF Thompson Hospital; however, he died from his injuries after his arrival.
