CONWAY — Horry County Council could vote to remove Randy Webster's name from the county's $24 million emergency operations center by early next year following allegations that the former deputy administrator had sexually harassed a police officer, county officials said.

Webster, who oversaw the county's public safety operations, notified the county administrator of his plans to retire on Oct. 17, one day after then-police officer Kelsey Manemeit told the county's human resources department that he had kissed her cheek, told her he dreamed about her and called her "desirable," according to public records.

"Horry County Government has a zero tolerance for sexual harassment," said County Councilman Tyler Servant, who said he intends to vote to remove Webster's name from the building. "
