The city has sustained more than $100,000 in damages from North Bay’s tire slasher over the last few months, The Nugget has learned.
Tires on approximately six pieces of equipment at Lee Park were slashed on Nov. 9 or 10.
After weeks of no reported incidents, the tire slasher has struck again. This time in the public works yard in Lee Park.

The cost of the damage is estimated at approximately $25,000, and police are investigating.
This incident follows previous acts of vandalism at Lee Park and at the city’s public works facility on Franklin Street, which have totaled more than $100,000 in damages.
“These occurrences have happened despite enhanced security measures already in place,” said Gord Young, the city’s communication officer.
