The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday (November 21, 2025) criticised the Congress, describing it as an “army of traitors”, after its parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi presented the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament, and Development for 2024 to Michelle Bachelet , the former President of Chile and former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, on Wednesday (November 19).
At a press conference, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said the event showed that “anti-India blood” was “flowing in the veins” of Congress. He accused India’s oldest party of operating like a “Maoist group”, spreading its network even abroad.
