After 32 years of service to the city, South Pasadena’s chief of police Brian Solinksy is retiring.
Solinsky, who joined the South Pasadena Police Department on Oct. 12, 1993, has served for the last four years as the city’s top cop.
He was appointed after serving for a short period as the department’s interim chief, but held many roles during his time in South Pasadena.
“I embrace contemporary policing philosophies that promote efficiency, effectiveness, and the equitable treatment of all,” Solinsky said in a statement following his appointment to chief in 2021.
