PICKENS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A month-long drug investigation leaves one man facing several charges.

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and Federal Partners began a methamphetamine investigation and allegedly bought the drug from Darrell Hinton.

Hinton was arrested after the department obtained a search warrant.

During the operation, investigators seized meth, cocaine, marijuana, hydrocodone pills, and a stolen firearm.

Hinton is being charged with trafficking of meth and opioids.

Possession of Marijuana – first degree, possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.

Three counts of Failure to Affix Tax Stamp, Receiving Stolen Property, and Certain Person Forbidden to Possess a Firearm.

The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force, DEA, and the 24th Judicial Circuit assisted in the case
