Gov. Wes Moore announced in Frederick on Friday that AstraZeneca plans to invest $2 billion in expanding their bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity in Frederick and Montgomery counties.
At a crowded presentation at AstraZeneca's Frederick office on Research Court, Moore stood next to company and government representatives as he announced a public-private partnership that's projected to add 300 high-skill jobs in the state by 2029 and nearly double the company's manufacturing capacity in Frederick.
