The victim of a fatal stabbing in Mattapan on Saturday night has been identified as 45-year-old Tyquan Pooler of Boston.

According to the Boston Police Department, at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, police received a report of a stabbing near 30 Fremont St. They found Pooler at the scene.

Pooler was brought to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The following afternoon, shortly after 3 p.m., police arrested Javonte Robinson, 29, of Mattapan, in Hyde Park and charged him in connection with Pooler’s death.

The stabbing is still under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Boston police at 617-343-4470.
