ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A St. Louis man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting at a school bus with a child on board back in 2023.
Everett Stephenson, 40, was convicted by a jury this week of numerous charges, including first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon for shooting from a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors said on June 22, 2023, Stephenson became angry after he believed a school bus cut him off in the Academy neighborhood in the city. Prosecutors said that resulted in him firing a handgun toward the back of the bus.
