(WFSB) - Soon, your families will gather to enjoy all the classic Thanksgiving dishes. But before you pile up that plate, a registered dietitian explains simple ways to make your holiday healthier.
Thanksgiving has a way of sneaking up on us and pulling us straight into the stuffing and mashed potatoes. But Cara Andreoli, MS, CD-N, CDCES, says this year, the message can be simply slow down, savor the moment, and lighten up where you can. And that message can start even before the turkey hits the table.
“It’s all about your mindset. It’s so special. The holiday is once a year. So, you know, how about we make it a mindful holiday?”
Mindful as in slowing down, eating breakfast first, and remembering to pace yourself throughout the day.
