CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Coe College is partnering with Google AI to bring artificial intelligence technology directly into classrooms, working to teach students to use AI as a learning tool.

The Cedar Rapids-based liberal arts college is focusing on practical applications for AI in the learning process, according to Coe College President David Hayes.

“It’s up to our faculty in each application to guide our students in the appropriate use of artificial intelligence so that it’s traveling with the study and not replacing it in terms of what they’re doing in our classrooms and our learning environments,” Hayes said.

Students will have access to a variety of AI tools in what’s called “Guided Learning” mode , which gives prompts and support instead of generating fast answers.
