OMAHA, Neb. —

A Creighton basketball star will miss the season with a foot injury, coach Greg McDermott announced Friday.

Forward Jackson McAndrew will miss the rest of the 2025-26 season, according to a release.

The preseason All-Big East selection set a Creighton freshman record with 69 made 3-pointers. He was averaging 6.8 points and 4.5 rebounds so far this season.

"I feel so bad for Jackson, who had a terrific summer preparing for his sophomore season," McDermott said in a statement. "We'll support him throughout the rehab process and look forward to his healthy return in 2026-27."
