SAGINAW, Texas — The city of Saginaw issued shifting guidance to residents as officials worked to resolve water system issues that began after a storm-related equipment malfunction.
According to the city, a pump in the water system failed during a storm on Thursday evening but was manually reset by Public Works staff at about 7:42 p.m. Officials said the system began recharging immediately, with water pressure expected to return to normal shortly. The city emphasized that the problem was not caused by a leak and that the system remained secure.
At that time, no boil-water advisory was deemed necessary, though crews planned to continue monitoring water quality. Later that night, however, the city updated its guidance.
