Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman lead an all-star cast in the 2025 comedy The Roses.

In the director Jay Roach’s movie, Theo (Cumberbatch) and Ivy Rose’s (Colman) thin veneer of a happy marriage crumbles over control of their family home. Theo becomes envious of his wife’s success as a budding restaurateur when he loses his job at a prestigious architectural firm and suddenly becomes a stay-at-home parent.

Both of their lives are at a crossroads as Theo decides to file for divorce, leading to bth Roses resorting to the lowest of lows to take each other down. Their divorce boils down to who gets to keep their family home — and their friends and loved ones are all forced to choose sides.
