COLUMBIA, S.C.(WOLO)– Healthcare workers in South Carolina have a new ‘tool’ in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
Friday afternoon, Nov. 21, officials with the South Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association along with the State Department on Aging and others unveiled a new brain health tool-kit for senior centers across the state.
The tool-kit is part of the statewide plan to address Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
According to the SC Alzheimer’s Disease Registry, more than 111,000 people are currently living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia in South Carolina.
