CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - North Carolina Governor on Friday sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security demanding answers about the immigration operation in Charlotte, which began last Saturday.
Governor Josh Stein on Friday, Nov. 21, sent a letter to Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and asked her to address concerns he had about some of the tactics federal officers were using in “Operation Charlotte’s Web.”
In the letter, Stein said in part, “In too many instances in recent days in North Carolina, we have seen federal agents recklessly jeopardizing public safety and creating havoc in our communities.”
Stein also asked Noem about the lack of transparency from federal officials about the immigration operation to all levels of government.
