WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A group of friends who meet for Taco Tuesday at El Patio restaurant adopted all 19 children from the location’s Salvation Army Angel Tree this week.

The restaurant had just set up their Angel Tree when Chris Harter, one of their regular customers, walked in and asked how many angels they had available.

“We had just got our angels in. And he walked in and he said, ‘How many angels do you guys have?’ We counted them, there was 19. And he said, okay, great, I’ll take them all. And he just, he took them all. We were like, okay,” said Martha Campa, who works at El Patio.

The group then went shopping to fulfill each child’s Christmas wish list.

Harter said the tradition started a few years ago and has become something the group looks forward to each year.
